I have been so busy chasing Paige around that I haven't had a second to post any updates. I also haven't had a chance to download all of my pics. I have some great ones to share of Kyle teaching her how to swing a golf club!
Let's see...on the homefront, we bought pretty new stainless steel appliances. I am officially a grown up-only grown ups get excited about appliances! I'm almost excited to load the dishwasher knowing we don't have to yell to hear eachother over the noise our old one made. I'm sure the novelty will wear off quickly!
Paige continues to surprise us everyday with new words, facial expressions and funny things she does. On her list of favorite things to say:
Ickey=Mickey (We must hear this at least 20 times a day!)
oh toodles (from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
baby
Daddy (Mommy is a very rare word for her to say :()
peas=please(while signing it by rubbing her chest in a circle-it's soooo cute)
Neh=No (She says it in a soft sweet voice that melts Daddy's heart)
E-I-E-I-Oooo = Old McDonald
Animal noises-you can ask her what a specific animal says and she knows so many: kak (quack), roar, ribbit, baaa, boo=moo, oof oof=woof, neigh (she's surprisingly good at imitating a horse)
popsicle
eat
body parts: head, ear, eye, etc...
ball
more
puzzle
dog, iggy=ziggy
happy (my favorite)
kacker=cracker
She loves to dance, especially to "The Wheels on the Bus" and "If You're Happy and You Know It". It's typical toddler dancing where she looks like she's doing quick power squats! We can't go anywhere without her favorite baby (a cabbage patch doll that wears a blue onesie) and a sippy cup...seriously, we don't go ANYWHERE without them! She gives her baby kisses when she's happy and throws him to the ground when she's mad...poor doll. She answers questions now, but the answer is almost always "No". 'Paige, do you want to go night night?' "Neh"
Paige was just moved from the Young Toddler room to the Toddler room at daycare. I can see what a difference it's making already. She is definitely learning a lot from her new friends! I was so upset to put her in daycare when we first had her, but now, I'm a huge advocate of the benefits of that environment. (Well, I love our specific daycare, I wasn't a fan of the first place where she was enrolled.)
She is finally coming out of her shell around strangers. (Paige might look like Daddy, but she's acting more and more like Mommy everyday!) She LOVES to wave hi and bye to complete strangers(she waves her hand around wildly). On the flip side, we've entered the tantrum phase...UGH!!! I polled some of my Mom friends, and it looks like this phase will last until her late teens...shoot me now. Despite the random fits, she is a complete joy and a very happy little girl. We adore our lil' Peggles!
